After breakfast leave for Polonnaruwa. En-route visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala - Check in to a selected hotel in Giritale. Afternoon take a city tour of Polonnaruwa, the 12 th century AD capital of Sri Lanka also visit a wood carving centre. Overnight stay in Giritale / Sigiriya.
After breakfast leave for Kandy en-route visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress dating
back to 5th century AD to see the world famous Sigiriya frescoes and the patricide -
Kings Palace on the summit. Also visit the Dambulla Rock Cave Temples and a Spice
Garden.
In the evening
see a cultural dance show followed by a visit
to the temple of the sacred tooth relics of the
Lord Buddha in time for the evening pooja. Overnight
stay in Kandy.
After breakfast take a city tour of
Kandy, the hill capital of Sri Lanka. Visit
the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, Arts &
Crafts Centre, a Gem Lapidary, a Batik Factory
and drive around the lake to see the scenic
Beauty of Kandy. Proceed to Nuwara Eliya, the
Tea Garden of Sri Lanka . En-route visit a Tea
Factory. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
After breakfast leave for Mt. Lavinia via Kitulgala. Optional tour of White Water
Rafting. Afternoon at leisure on the beach. Overnight stay in Mt. Lavinia.
